Good to know
Discover the UNESCO town of Idrija with the oldest mercury mine in Europe and home of unique lacemaking experts.
Since there is a moderate amount of walking, we suggest wearing comfortable shoes. Temperatures in the mountain regions tend to be slightly lower compared to those in the capital city.
Don't miss tasting local dishes and specialties. Must try – “Idrijski žlikrofi” pasta which is the most characteristic dish of the area, made from dough with a potato filling.
