Description

Starting at 8:30am in Zagreb, this full day tour will take you to Istria, the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. Many tourists and visitors would agree that this is the most beautiful part of Croatia. The peninsula is shared by three countries: Croatia, Slovenia and Italy, having its largest portion lying in Croatia.

Our first stop will be Motovun, the most famous medieval town in the area. This cozy little town is located on a hill 270 meters above the sea level, offering unforgettable views on Istria and the surrounding sea. Apart from being famous for the film festival, “Motovun Film Festival”, that has been running every year since 1999, it is also well known for its beautiful medieval architecture. The town is surrounded by solid walls from the 11th century, still remaining intact until today. The most important sights include the Church of St. Stephen with its separate bell tower, serrated battlements, gates and walls, and enchanting streets and squares. All these landmarks make Motovun a magical town to wander around.

After visiting Motovun we will head to Rovinj, the most popular tourist resort in Istria and a must-see town in Croatia. Often referred to as “Small Dubrovnik”, it is the 2nd most photographed city in Croatia and the perfect setting for you to enjoy local specialties on a lunch break. Feel the enchantment of the town with its narrow medieval streets and small squares, still untouched by modern urbanism. The town of Rovinj is the right destination if you are seeking a long-forgotten atmosphere times gone by.
